St. Luke's Methodist Church is a large, fast-growing church with multiple campuses and a significant outreach to the community. We currently have a position available for a Full Time Facilities Technician at our St. Luke’s Downtown location.

Essential Functions:

• Perform major and minor fixes, such as repairing walls, plumbing, flooring, and electrical
• Perform routine painting and staining throughout the building
• Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment, such as vacuums, appliances, and small electronics
• Perform routine repairs on indoor and outdoor playground equipment
• Report to facilities manager regarding any issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress
• Coordinate events to make sure all the details are handled in a timely manner
• Proficient with organizing and coordinating all the details of an event especially related to setup and teardown
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for details that make our events hospitable to all who come
• Minor cleaning such as trash removal and vacuuming
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required

Required Proficiencies:

• Must have experience with the following: Drywall installation and repair, minor plumbing repair, minor electrical repair, minor HVAC repair, minor roofing repairs, painting, basic carpentry, use of power tools
• Must be able to climb ladders, use scissor lift, and lift up to 50lbs
• Experience fixing major electrical, plumbing, and roofing repairs a plus
• Experience with complete remodels including trim carpentry a plus
• General passion for creative problem solving

Additional Information:
• Full-Time hourly position: $20/hr. (negotiable, commensurate with experience)
• Hours of Facility Operation: 6am - 10pm daily
• Specific days, start times, and end times may vary
• Must pass extensive background check

• Position Hours: Position would be a 1 pm to 9 pm or 2 pm to 10 pm shift Monday through Friday, the Majority of the time. Flexibility with shifts and some weekend work may be required.
